Ingredients:
Tomato - 2 grind to puree
Pepper powder- 1 tbsp
Cumin powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp
Lemon - 1/2 (optional)
Hing - 1/4 tbsp
Salt as needed
Coriander Leaves- to garnish
Method:
In a mixing bowl, take the puree, the powders and enough water as you need.
Squeeze out the lemon juice if you want a bit of tanginess.
Let this mixture boil, don't overboil it as lemon juice will make the rasam taste bitter.
Turn off the stove once it turns frothy, add salt and garnish with corainder leaves.
Notes:
You can add tempering with oil, mustard seeds and curry leaves if you want.
